Simon Woods

Simon brings over 20 years of transactional experience in investment banking and law, with a focus on project and structured finance. Prior to joining VastSolar to lead our Transactions team, Simon was an Investment Director at ARENA from 2014-2021. There, he led investment across a broad range of renewable energy and enabling technologies including solar PV, wind, CSP, hybrids, battery storage, thermal storage, pumped hydro and bioenergy. Simon also led investment on a range of projects with early-stage VC-style investments to later stage project finance.  

Simon is a CFA charterholder and is admitted as a solicitor in Queensland, as well as in England and Wales.
